HBO-Inclusietool
Development of a sector-wide measurement approach for diversity and inclusion within universities of applied sciences.
Principal applicantProjects
My current projects focus on inclusion, education and work — from attracting more women to IT to strengthening inclusion in higher education and developing practical tools for research, learning and professional practice.
Current work
Fix IT! investigates why women remain underrepresented in IT and how education and employers can make the transition from study to work more attractive, inclusive and sustainable.
The project follows the journey from education into working life, focusing on attraction, transition and retention.
Early findings suggest that women place relatively strong emphasis on work–life balance and societal contribution, while these themes are often less prominent in employer communication.
Evidence, interventions and practical approaches that help education and employers strengthen attraction, transition and retention in IT.

The HBO-Inclusietool helps universities of applied sciences understand how inclusion is embedded in policy and experienced by employees.
The tool combines a policy scan with an employee scan, allowing institutions to compare organizational intentions with employees' actual experiences.
Results are translated into an accessible dashboard with benchmarks, group comparisons, priority areas and practical action points.

Building Inclusive Curricula develops practical ways to help educators examine whether curricula work equally well for diverse groups of students.
Inclusion is not only about who enters education, but also about how assignments, examples, assessment, language and learning environments shape participation.
The project translates broad principles of inclusion into concrete choices in teaching and curriculum design.
The Social Animal at Work translates key insights from social and organizational psychology into an accessible online course.
The course combines short learning units, videos, reflection and interactive exercises.
